Skowhegan operates from two locations: a 350-acre campus in Maine where Skowhegan’s nine-week summer program takes place; and in New York City, an office space open year-round with a flexible program space and publicly accessible archives.

Board of Trustees & Governors
Skowhegan’s governance structure is a fundamental aspect of the organization. The Board of Trustees have a fiduciary responsibility for Skowhegan, and the Board of Governors is a group of artists of high professional standing who oversee the Program in collaboation with the Directors. The Boards work together to ensure that Skowhegan fulfills its mission and remains a powerful voice in the emerging and contemporary art community.
